Dear Rayden,You are born on 20 August 2006 at 0820hrs.
Mummy had a tummyache on 20 Aug, around 0330hrs. She thought it must be the curry from your grandaunty that has caused her to have an upset tummy. But the pain persisted, and she decided to wake Papa up.
We reached TMC around 0520hrs and Mummy's already 4cm dilated. Mummy's been brave and has decided against Epidural.
Dr. Woo arrived around 0800hrs and said you're ready to come out. He quicky got himself ready and by 0820hrs, there you were!! The delivery was smooth and there's a saying
that "it'll be easier if it's the second child". Well, let's not take anything away from your Mummy cos, she's been brave and strong throughout. Your weight was 3.45Kg, and your height was 48cm.After 2 days stay in TMC, Mummy and you are discharged from the hospital. We were glad that everything was smooth and we were home before we knew it.
A check with the Pediatrician 2 days (Thursday) later came as a "not-so-good" news, Rayden. You looked yellow (jaundiced) and we were told to do a blood test at Mt. Alvernia. It was already 9.30pm when we reached Mt. Alvernia. The results were out within 15mins, and sadly, we have to admit you into the hospital. Guess who we saw at the ward? Uncle Shon and Auntie Wendy, and of cos... baby Rachel (who was born 1 day earlier than you). Uncle Shon and Papa were best of pals since Secondary scholl days (we did everything together) and now... our babies also seem to have this fate. Ha!
Rachel and you were both discharged 2 days later (Saturday).
It's been a long week and we hope that from now, you'll be healthy and strong, and "ping-an" always.
