Suggestion for LTA / Taxi Operators

Have you ever jammed brake your vehicle because the taxi infront decides to stop suddenly to pick up passengers? Damn #@* right?

Maybe the authorities should considering waiving off the adder for calling a cab. Imagine if it's free(the dial a cab service), I think most of the passangers will probably choose to call a cab rather than stand at the road side on a hot morning and flag at whatever vehicles that looked like a taxi to them.

Does it mean that the cab drivers will earn significantly less? I don't think so... since the taxi company will probably take some percentage off their earnings from the add-ons anyway. It could even mean an increase in the drivers' earnings. Why? Well, if it is not expensive and convenient to be driven around in well kept taxis, why not right? Convenient in the sense that I pick up a phone, dial for a cab, cab comes within 10mins, I hop onto the cab, cab drives me to my destination (don't have to "geng" how to get from point A to point B)... safely(since there will be less taxis fighting for customers at the road side)... at the end of the day, maybe can save money somemore... You think owning a car in Singapore is cheap huh? Petrol... Carpark... Road tax... loan payment...

What you say?
